Project Leader of an integrated team that produced a detailed geological, geophysical and petrophysical characterization of Cusiana Field, Colombia. Responsible for reservoir characterization of the Guadalupe, Barco and Mirador formations, identifying and mapping reservoir and nonreservoir layers, determining and mapping reservoir parameters, building a stratigraphic model for use in reservoir simulation, reviewing the structural interpretation, overseeing seismic and petrophysical studies, writing a comprehensive report and making recommendations for optimal field management and development.

Responsible for technical analysis of the Llanos Foothills Belt (Eastern Cordillera) and the northern Llanos Basin, Colombia, during ECOPETROL's first licensing round by competitive tender in 1994. Responsibilities included stratigraphic and structural analyses, seismic interpretation, prospect generation, risk analysis and reserve estimation. Mr. Eschner generated prospects that resulted in three exploration blocks being successfully contracted to petroleum companies - these were the only three blocks that were successfully placed out of 22 blocks offered during the licensing round.

Involved in the geological, petrophysical and geophysical analysis of Volcanera Field, Colombia. Primary responsibilities included evaluation of structure and stratigraphy and determining maximum, minimum and most-likely reserve estimates.

Played a key role for a major oil company in the evaluation of opportunities in Colombia during Ecopetrol's licensing round in 2000 (Ronda 2000). The client successfully acquired several exploration-exploitation blocks, in part due to the efforts of Mr. Eschner.
